Excessive wear/cupping can be caused by too much negative camber or incorrect toe settings and made worse by bad shocks. Camber is adjustable with shims (genuinesaab.com) and there is a built-in adjustment for toe. Camber is usually more of a problem with Aeros or cars with lowering springs.
At 128k miles you're well due for new rear shocks. Bilstein HD are popular and a lot stiffer than stock. Koni adjustables allow you some flexibility for how stiff the ride becomes.
Bilstein Sport shocks are shorter and intended for cars with lowered suspension (not yours).
