Cabin Heat Minimal... all codes okay, engine fine... Posted by CrNiFe [Email] (#408) [Profile/Gallery] (more from CrNiFe) on Sat, 11 Aug 2007 19:41:40 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Well, here we are on vacation in PEI, and while passing through the mountains between Quebec and Maine, it seemed I couldn't get any heat to the floor on the passenger side. My wife started to freeze her feet. I checked the ACC for codes, and came up zero. While in Bangor, I stopped in to see Ed at Quirk's, to see if there was anything I could have missed. On the way back to the hotel, of course, I could get it to blow on HI setting. Since then, it hasn't been able to blow heat. Not that it matters, since we still need only cold air.
Definitely not the dreaded code 8 blend doors... I picked up a thermostat, just in case it was staying closed. The engine temp needle is horizontal, and the car warms up properly.
Any suggestions from the collective pool of wisdom, before I head back to Ontario? I can still get it checked at a GM dealer here in Summerside.
Cheers, from the beach at Cabot Park
