I replaced my batteries around a year ago, maybe more. Like you, I had a return message of "Service Theft Alarm" on my SID a couple of weeks later, and like you I repaired my solder joints without finding any clear evidence of a problem.
Since that time I have had no repeat alarm messages. But; I have had 3 events this summer where the alarm siren sounded for only a second. The first 2 times I thought it was my neighbor unlocking one of their vehicles. The last time it happened I was standing in my driveway and discovered it was my car making the very brief wail.
Strange.
