Another consideration is the wiring harness you get with the standard saab hitch installation. I have a 2004 Arc wagon and had a saab hitch put on by the dealer last year. The wiring harness they installed is only a 4-pin (left turn/stop, right turn/stop, tail, ground). Unfortunately, you need another harness to pull over 1000 pounds since the owner's manual states that trailers over 1000 pounds should have brakes (and thus, you need more than 4 pins in the harness to operate brakes). Seems stupid that they only give you the 4-pin harness with the stock hitch.
