Well, the total repair estimate will be around $2500. All paid for by the responible party's insurance. They'll also pay my rental car and deductible. All in all an expensive way to get rid of a few scuffs on the rear bumper that were ther when I bought it over 2 years ago.
There was minor damage underneath the rear quarter panel, which was my main concern. All repairable with no compromise to the integrity if the car. Pretty much all cosmetic.
Something like this really reinforces my decision to buy Saab. In my opinion, nothing better in safety. I get it back by Tuesday next week. I've been without it for only 2 days now but miss it a lot already.
The rental is a 2007 Honda Accord. A good car for a people mover, but very, well, blah. I sure miss the kick of the turbo.
I live in CT and the accident occurred on S. RT-32 in Norwich before you get to RT-2. Well, lets hope Saab sends the repair facility the parts needed without delay.
