I have noticed a non-linearity of acceleration with my 2000 9-5 recently. It feels as if there are dead spots in the throttle when accelerating away from a stop. Not severe enough that a passenger would notice them, but something that has not been there before.
I cleaned the TB earlier this summer (before the problem appeared) and lubricated the butterfly pivots. Plugs are changed every 10,000 miles (6,500 miles on current set). A 20oz bottle of Techron is used at 10,000 mile intervals also so injectors should be fine, fuel filter has ~26,000 miles on it.
Maybe it is just a sign of age since my car has 206,500 miles, but I would prefer to change out the TB (or MAF) before it fails if my symptom is indicative of impending doom.
Thanks,
