Here's a different view -- I don't like the Saab rack and I wish I hadn't bought it. The feet have two little prongs that fit into holes above the doors, behind the rubber gaskets. This is good in theory, and should make the rack very firmly attached.
But I find that the rack sqeaks and moans with or without a bike on it. The tightening screws are at the ends of the roof bars. They apply pressure against a plastic end cap. Almost immediately the head of this bolt pulled right through the plastic. I had to open up the bar, put the bolt through a metal washer and try to get the bolt to hit the threaded hole, which is deep within the bar. There's enough to get about three threads screwed in and it was a pain.
If I had it to over again I'd pay the extra $50 and get the more standard Thule rack with universal feet that clamp above the doors.
