ABS failing - is bba a long term fix?

Hi Folks,
Sunday I got the ABS, TCS, speedo trifecta - oh great. At least thanks to this site I know what it is and that there's a cheap-ish fix.
How is the long term stability of the bba-fixed units? Given the postage from Australia is going to be more than the price of the repair I don't want to have to do trial and error.
I notice they claim to permanently fix the SID also, I might bung that in as well as mine needs to the home DIY fix every year or so. I gather postage won't be much more for both.
So - any longer- term feedback on the bba-reman stuff?
Cheers
Steve
