disconnecting handsfree phone mount Posted by cork [Email] (#716) [Profile/Gallery] (more from cork) on Sat, 15 Sep 2007 09:57:26 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
'02 Aero wagon:
In 2002I had a hands-free phone mount installed for whatever coal-fired, steam driven cell phone was then available. Though reasonably certain that there's has been no way to connect any contemporary phone since about 2005 (when this ceased to function anyway), I'd like to know for sure. If there is no way to use this for a phone, I'd like to know what perils are associated with disconnecting it. Because the original installation occured at a time when General Motors wanted to be your phone company, the process involved purchasing some sort of aftermarket harness and hours of time from a qualified (Saab)technician. If it can be disconnected I'll probably leave the Saab issue, passenger-side plastic mounting blister where it has been and use that to mount my Garmin GPS which at present has no place to live that does not obstruct my vision.
Thanks for any thoughts...
