dont use a soldering iron!
The SID literally pops out. Use a butter knife (I use an avocado knife actually ...) or a wide screwdriver. anything that is thin will work. It must be fairly rigid.
be careful not to gouge or scratch the SID or the dash. either would suck.
while the SID is mounted in the dash. you can slide it to one side or the other. There is some play in the fitting. Slide it as far as you can to the left to open up a crack on the right. Slip your flat bladed tool of choice into the crack, and gently pry out the right corner. Once that side pops out a bit, use your fingers to take it out the rest of the way.
