I have found several references to removing the hush panel and it being to the left of the steering column. When I remove the hush panel There is a large white plastic device that contains a small block of relays that drop down. There are a number of wiring harnesses that go into the rest of the white plastic above the relay block. The kickpanel area of the drivers footwell (carpet panel on left) has 3 large bundles that connect in a junction block sort of thing.
The large white plastic thing has lots of wires in addition to the previously mentioned relay block, but from what I can see, nothing that I would call a module. Nor is there anything behind the radio / HVAC modules.
The wiring in the '06 is VERY different from the 99 9-3 I owned previously. While it did have GM parts, there wasn't the mass branding of connectors and the like. As 06 was the first year of the GM radio and AC controls, could there have been other changes? This is my 3rd SAAB, it it looks much more GM/US style than previous ones. (that's not a bad thing he says remembering the 9000 headlamp relay issues he had)
Does anyone have a WIS image of where the DICE module is located?
Thanks,
hr
