I changed the rear shocks on my '01 Sportwagon at 82K and installed Bilsteins. They really helped and still rode well. At 91K I changed the rear springs and also installed rear shims. The combo has really helped fix the rear sag and the handling is better then when we bought the car at 36K. There is very little discussion about replacing rear springs on these cars but this should be considered for more cars, particularly wagons.
