Another follow-up...
Finished four drain and fills on the automatic transmission fluid. That certainly is easy and by the fourth drain and fill, the fluid that I drained looked very good.
I also completed four remove and fills on the power steering fluid (using the turkey baster to suck the fluid from the reservoir). The fluid is looking better, but not great, I plan to do a few more of these.
Using the Motive Brake Bleeder (purchased from eEuro), I replaced all the brake fluid. Wow! What a dream compared to my many experiences with the old "pump and hold" method. Phil, I'm really glad you suggested using the turkey baster to remove the old fluid from the reservoir. That really saved a lot of time.
I cleaned the throttle body. It wasn't extremely dirty, but I feel better about it now. I looked at cleaning the Mass Air Meter (or whatever it is called) but it looked very clean and extremely delicate. I opted not to try and break it.
While cleaning the throttle body, I noticed that the 1-way PCV valve connected to the small vacuum line was broken. No telling how long it had been that way. I removed the broken bits and ran down to the local auto parts store. They had one on the shelf, but one end was significantly smaller in diameter than the original. So, I purchased a foot length of a couple of very small sizes of hose. The smallest size increase the diameter just enough that I could get a good seal with a small hose clamp. Problem solved.
I'll be draining and filling the coolant sometime soon. Almost done :> Thanks again for all the input.
Regards,
Greg Bender
