Try a Purolator Pure-1 filter and junk whatever they installed. It could be a defective filter? I, many years ago, had a Hastings filter (very good filters) that came loose. It turned out the threaded hole wasn't drilled straight so the filter base had trouble seating squarely. Did they try another oil filter? If your car doesn't have a history of the filter coming loose, try a new filter. Good luck and let us know the solution.
