tranmission gone at 62k - look at the outcome

About two weeks ago I made a post about my clutch and transmission going on my 02 95 Aero. All this after I did every scheduled maintenance at a dealership and changed the oil every 3k with mobil 1. Needless to say I didn't get much empathy from the board and had people say "well maybe you or your wife drive it hard" - not receiving the benefit of the doubt from the board was kind a bummer. This was my third saab and certainly this was the first instance of anything going wrong this early. The dealership did give me the number for Saab assistance, but Mike Lynch had said I probably wouldn't receive any assistance. I have linked to the old post below.
So what was the outcome?
You were all WRONG!!!!!!!! One, I know how to drive and so too does my wife thank you very much. The old owner was a family member and he drove fine, too. I spoke with Saab assistance who were very nice and always professional. Net, Net - They paid for a new transmission and I only had to cover the clutch. Saab and GM should be congratulated on working with a customer who supports the brand and clearly takes care of the car and does so at a dealer. GM also had a SAAB 95 sent to me for use while the transmission was shipped and then installed - that was for over a week.
I am happy with SAAB and GM and would definitely consider the brand again. My car is back and drives great. As for the board, perhaps we should give members the benefit of the doubt and the lesson is simple - unless you ask the answer is always no - I worked with SAAB and they treated me well and saved me a considerable amount of cash, but more importantly they saved the brand, because in my mind this was a brand killer (i.e., loosing the transmission after only 62k).
Sorry board, you got it wrong and I could not be more happy. Live and Learn and drive a Saab.
