I know the ng900/9-3 cars seemed to get really hot. The ones I was familiar with were 1 level heat setting (on or off). Not sure about the 2nd gen 9-3 but seems to me the above were hotter than c900 and 9000 (although admittedly these were 3 level and I always kept them on lowest), and my 9-5 (2 level I believe). In my opinion you should at most notice warmth. The heaters should just take the chill off and should really be such that you notice neither cold or heat. I have no intent of making toast while driving.
