thud sound increasing with RPM? pulley?

Folks,
Over the past 2 weeks there has been a sound that arises as I accelerate the vehicle to higher speeds. The sound is a light 'thud' that almost sounds like a tire that has a flat spot. Seems to be coming from engine compartment. i am thinking it may be the tensioner pulley that is working its way off.
Data:
1) 2002 Aero with 73k miles
2) Serp belt and Upper Idler Pulley changed at 60k.
3) Noise louder while driving; NO SOUND at IDLE.
Please help. Plan on taking it to the dealer to diagnose
T. Starks
