I believe that these are not related.
"low coolant" message on the SID: there is a low coolant sensor in the overflow tank/reservoir. Check the coolant level. If it may be close to the low end of full and sloshing caused the low level switch to trigger. Don't ignore this message though. do check the level asap.
"key ... " tough to guess but probably "Replace Key Battery". It means the batter in your remote is low.
"time for service" - means nothing. The car is set to display this mesage after a specified number of miles. you can clear it (press clear until it says "service")
When you say "temperature needle never moved, do you mean it registered cold for the entire trip? if so you'll need a new thermostat or coolant temp sensor, or both.
Missing pixels: Lots of options here. you can fix the SID yourself ($0), send it out for repair ($100), or buy a new one ($350?)
