I'm a newbie to this site, purchased a Saab '01 9-5 wagon about one month ago from some poor soul who was robbed by the stealership. The dealer installed a brand new turbo ( and wasn't even the problem) but still smoked. After numerous stealership (not equating indie to dealer, never) repairs he sold cheap as a non runner (and it was) because it still smoked, as I found out, #4 piston was shot, pressurizing the crankcase and was blowing oil through the PCV to the intake of the turbo, but it smoked on start up and acceleration. Hope it is not a cracked piston, (my junkyard motor w/50k cost $1800, but runs great and how can a new 350 ci cost $1200) if it was, it would most likely smoke under acceleration too. It only took me about a week and 200 hundred miles to get the oil out of the intercooler and have no smoke. I hope this is of no help.
