Power Drain leading to Flat battery.

A few weeks ago I posted under the heading of Flat Battery about a 0.25 amp power drain leading in 3-4 days to the obvious. This last weekend I pulled every electrical connection apart under the bonnet reading each time the amps across Fuse 17 and eventually I found the problem and thought you might like to know. It turned out the large connector up on the bulkhead behind the engine which is hidden with a rectangular black plastic cover. With cover slipped off it showed that the dark red lock bar was not fully home, so I opened it and the inside was covered in dust and some grit indicating certainly that it was not shut tight. I brushed it out and replaced it properly then checked the amps drain again. Interestingly it started off with the same 0.25 drain but after about 8 seconds it dropped to 0.08 amps. Well tonight cold weather and all the '03 Linear Wagon started right up with no apparent weakness from the battery. I had been hearing an electric click though the LH speaker when pulling the key out prior to this even though the wireless was switched off and could not fathom out why. If anyone has an answer I'd be greatful.
