Headlamp washer disaster!! Posted by MikeJavo [Email] (#1093) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MikeJavo) on Mon, 10 Dec 2007 06:11:17 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Our small passenger side headlamp washer leak in a 2003 Linear wagon turned to a full blown waterfall. About 4 liters of washer fluid are all over the garage floor.
I took out the grilles, cornering light and headlight. They're incredibly modular. I found the small hose to the washer unit was completely disconnected. It was easier to access it from underneath, removing the air intake snorkel.
My question is, how is the connector supposed to fit back on the spray unit? It doesn't feel very solid. It's pretty easy to pull out. I suspect this is where the original leak started. It looks like there's a plastic push spring, that doesn't seem to engage, from either side. The driver side unit is just as loose. The hose clamp seems tight.
Thanks.
