The upper 18mm head bolt for starter can only be accessed by the feel of your finger tips.
I use a long 18mm ratchet wrench and get down there from above to crack it loose and then I have a stubby 18mm ratchet wrench to slowly get the bolt out.
I also disconnect the brake booster vacuum pipe from intake and vacuum pump (if fitted)so that I don't crack it when shoving my arm down there.
The lower 16mm nut is a breeze to remove together with the solenoid and battery cables after removing the intake manifold brace.
