The door locks work with the Key module when all dors are closed, they also will lock it you are inside and start driving (programable feature) or with the switch on the console You can also program if only the driver's door unlocks or all doors (programable) You can program speed at wu=hich all dooors will lock The previous require a trip to dealer many othert features can be programed by dealer that are not mentioned in the owner's manual Your dealer should have done this for you when you took delivery, if a used car then you will have to pay.
ON the AAC it is an owner prograable feature. Yours is programed to start in "off" position you can program to start in the "on" position if you would like. If programed in "OFF" the memory will allow restart in on mode is it is off less than 10 minues. I just read that and it isn't clear - you must turn it "on" by pressing "off" button and all is "Normal". If you stop to pick up a six pack and there was no line at your local Arab owned 7-11,and restart the car, then the AAC will start in the "ON" or normal function, I like to program mine in "off" position (as yours is now) it does not give a blast of hot or cold air when first starting. There are a lot of features that can be tailored to your individual wishes. All is covered in Ownwers manual under "Programming"
Good Luck, as it requires a little SAAB understanding this section was written by Trolls!
