Hi, I just had to do this today. Remove the Wiper arms (may have to use a tool to get them off, I use an older ball joint removal tool, or a puller would work). Remove the large plastic cover, making sure to gently pull it to the front of the car not breaking the clips underneath. Remove the small plastic cover in the center, this can be bent easily to remove. Remove the wiper assembly, four 10mm bolts. Unplug the power to the assembly. When the large piece is out, clean the drain hose, it is probably blocked up. Remove the center metal mount for the wiper assemble. Two 10mm bolts in the front, one underneath, you only need to loosen this one. Remove the outside plastic frame, there are two nuts on the bottom, and plastic clips on left and right. There are clips under the plastic clips that need to be moved to the outside of the car and the big clips will let go. Remove the wire from the turtle cover, this wire is not removed, just remove from the cover. Remove the turtle cover, 4 small screws and unplug from the fan motor by removing the plug, no clips. The wire then is remove through the turtle cover, remove the fan unit be pulling out of car, it will simply come out and then work it out of the car slowly.
The fan can be cleaned by removing the brushes, using rubbing alcohol and a q tip, clean the armature throughly, reassemble and test buy touching the leads to a battery charger, If it spins nice, then can replace by reversing removal.
