Esther, Congrats on your new car! The Saab wagons are nice cars, although I believe maintanance costs are higher for Saab than for Honda. But using this board will help you with questions and problems. On the matter of the oil leak if this is a 4 cylinder I would suspect the oil pressure switch. This is the switch that turns on the oil light in the event of low oil pressure. They are on the back side of the engine block about centered in the engine compartment and are a common leak. There are of course many other possibilities for this leak. One piece of advise I will give you is you should find a good Saab independent (indy as we call them) shop to fix your car. There is a mechanics list on this board that lists shops in all areas of the country and peoples experiences with them. On the subject of the information display (SID or Saab information display as we call them). These loose the pixels and become illedgeable, there are a few places that repair these. I have used Guy Senasac in Richmond, Vt. with great success. I believe he charges about $100 to repair this including return shipping and he turns them around promply, and his success rate is very good in my experience.
