I have the short belt and the idler pulley is still there. Thanks! I will try the long belt. I always drive with the AC on economy mode because it is winter here. The vibration is bad enough to rattle the cup holder, items in the door pocket, and anything that might be on the floor at the time (extremely annoying). I was a saab tech for about two years, but that was fifteen years ago (these cars are not the same vehicle they used to be)so I can find my way around them, but this has me puzzled. If I test drove this new and it had this bad of a vibration I wouldn't buy it.
Thanks to everyone for your input. I will try all of the suggestions til something works!
