All V6 thermostats are superseded using thick mounting flange. They are now made by Motorad.
If you buy a Saab genuine thermostat, it comes with two longer bolts. So sometimes, it is not a saving to buy after market parts.
The early V6 engines had a thinner flange and that's why they send out the new one with longer bolts.
Since it is the standard M8 bolt, it is no big deal to find a substitute though even if it might come with a regular hex head instead of the Torx head.
