No, the problem was fixed with 2002's I believe.... Apparently there were at least two separate issues which affected the headbolts in the 1999 thru 2001 engines.
1) A protective wax coating used on the bolts caused them to loosen after being torqued.
2) A multi-spindle nut tightening machine on the assembly line was not properly calibrated, resulting in the bolts being under-torqued.
3) There may have been a third issue with bad metallurgy of some bolts.
I replaced all the headbolts in the engine of my 2000lpt in February of 2005 as a D-I-Y project. I found none of my bolts to be obviously out of spec, but I replaced them anyway. A new set of bolts was less than $50. Not much money for the peace of mind I gained.
Read the old posts discussing this issue. I seem to remember the problem only affected 2001 engines and earlier, but the problems may have been fixed before that, placing the 2001 cars in the clear too.
