Oh so it this why darn gage seems to jump almost immediately to normal operating temperature. I am not talking really even within the "normal range" it seems to very quickly hit right in the center of it. Just seems way too fast and as been perplexing me for a while. So much for using the temp gage as a guide to warm up and when you can start increasing engine load.
