EBC Greenstuff versus Saab/Akebono Front Pads

The last time I did front pads the Saab OEM were of the semi-metallic type and dusted and trashed rotors. I went with the Greenstuff. The EBC pads lasted more than double the OEM pads and the rotors look like they can be reused.
Now that Saab is using Akebono ceramics, is there any reason to not go this route and stick with the Greenstuff? I think the EBCs are cheaper, but I am looking at performance as a priority. I do all types of driving from highway to inner city.
I have the Akebono Euro ceramic on the rear. They seem fine, but occasionally squeak badly on cold rusty (overnight moisture) rotors?
Is 5532544 the latest PN? It is for an 03 Aero.
