"Rear light failure"

I searched, and read a whole bunch of strings in here regarding the subject (back to 2002!). Our 2000 9-5 sedan has been plagued with this problem for years. It was a Certified Saab when we purchased it, so it was in probably 6 times for this to be addressed. Then just before our cert. ran out, I made another trip there, and pleaded with service to PLEASE replace the sockets and bulbs. I was finding that one out of the 4 running lights would be out (very tough to discern looking thru the lens), and if you gently remove the socket assy., and then wiggle the bulb slightly (or a slight twist), that it would some on and perform as normal for a few weeks. I've cleaned the bulbs, applied deilectric grease, etc. and the problem still exists. Even the new sockets and bulbs has not fixed the intermittent problem. I've considered soldering the bulbs in!
I see that our 9-5 has one brake light out...I'll have to wiggle that one. Just prior to getting our annual insp. sticker here in Mass., I had to "wiggle" both reverse lights, the rear fog (I added one on the other side!), and one of the running lights. So, the car passed insp., got the sticker, and now it's acting up like usual.
Is there a CURE for these crappy sockets??? I might try some Al. foil around the bases...
