1) I'll second Roger's opinion on the K&N. I've had them in other cars and haven't been impressed. However, the $14 intake snorkel upgrade is worth every penny where the butt dyno's concerned.
2) Can't answer that one--have used nothing but OE Saab filters on every oil change.
3) I believe '02 was still "V"-rated. The WIS I have (covers up to '01) shows the stock 215-55-15 size in a W speed rating. In '04, a speed limiter was added, and the tire rating on those cars (Arc/Linear) was "H".
4) I'll go with Roger's best guess. The LPT cars should be good for right at 140 mph. The Aeros will run 150-155, which I've seen in mine.
5) The window sticker on mine says 21/28, city/highway. Pretty much on the mark there. With the PCV #6 revision installed, I've seen my urban cycle mileage go to more like 23-24. Highway driving, 28's very realistic, and I've seen it plenty of times. Best long trip mileage was 29, over 1100 miles solid driving, averaging 80-85 all day long.
6) The Aero's a real sleeper: the subtle suspension differences (good ones!), the same appearance as the lower trim levels (except for wheels and sitting lower) made it worth the money. Okay, and not needing to spend money on ECU upgrades made it a no-brainer at the time. If you're thinking ECU upgrades, consider a turbo upgrade to the Mitsu unit, as used on the Aero while you're at it.
