Thanks for the replies.
The booster is listed at $285 so I don't want to buy one if not need. This is an intermittent issue, this morning with temperatures in high 50's pedal did not sink. I also jiggled the vacuum lines from intake manifold to buster and to vac pump. The hissing was not there, now it only hisses inside the cabin when pedal is released and travels upwards (I think that is normal). Also I noted that engine is more responsive this morning. The vac lines were rigid plastic not the rubber kind, but looked intact. Weird.
