Try folding down the seats and crawling in the trunk to pop that escape latch, so at least you can open it up and troubleshoot. Perhaps maybe the release cable needs to be adjusted. As far as the keys not working at all... that's pretty strange! Make sure the batteries are good; if so, it could be some dice/twice issue? Whenever I have electrical problems with my cars, I disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reconnect it. Always start with the simple solutions!
