I had Bilstein HDs installed on the rear of my '01 Wagon two years ago. The ride is fine and the Bilsteins work fine with stock front shocks. I replaced the shocks after one of the OEM shocks started to leak at 75K. Since then I've also replaced both rear springs and installed shims to stop the cupping wear on rear tires. This car has many strengths but the stock rear suspension is not one of them!
