2004 Aero, 50K, 235/45-17 Kumho SPT tires
I am fighting the dreaded vibration issue at highway speeds (55-60, 70+). I've had my new wheels/tires rebalanced TWICE now and the vibe persists. The latest balance was on a Hunter and the numbers came back as:
LF: 14 lbs RF: 19 lbs
LR: 9 lbs RR: 20 lbs
Both fronts were balanced within "1/2 an ounce" of ideal.
Both rears were 'right on'
They ended up swapping the front and backs, but no improvement, maybe a little worse actually.
Are the above numbers ok? They told me that anything <28 lbs was good and anything <10 lbs is exceptional and pretty rare.
The wheels are brand new and have hubcentric rings on them. I'm going to drop it off at an indy next week and have them look through the suspension, bearings, inner drivers, etc.
