You need a spring compressor to remove the springs, and the front struts and rear shocks need to come out. Air tools are handy for the top bolts on the shocks, and for sure you need an alignment when you're done. It's a couple hours of work for someone that's done it before and has the right tools on hand, plus the alignment and shims/alignment bolts required for that.
