I don't understand you question about calibrating the computer as in the 9000? I believe the SID is much better than the 9000 (not in quality anyways) because it gives you a lot more information in a more accurate way.
Anyways, my personal experience with an '03 Aero is 30-31 HWY tops but I have read claims in this website of 35 and over (which I don't really believe...but that's just me) but it is speed dependant.
Most of my driving is a combination of city/hwy and I get around 25mpg between fill ups. When I had 9000's I never got over 28-29mpg hwy (probaly due to the 4 speed transmission). I don't think that I have ever (in any of my Saabs) gone under 20 mpg, but when I was living in DC I calculated my wife doing 17mpg driving through the city....worst mileage ever on a Saab (a little turbo happy).
Does tire resistance really make a NOTICEABLE difference in mileage??
