It's interesting that you ask cause I'm having the same questions going over in my head. I have a stock 2000 V6 Wagon and am in need of rear shocks. I was thinking about FSD's (their advertising has me sold, but I'm still waiting on some real world experience reviews; I think Herb will be putting a set in his 2007 Aero) but don't know what to do with the bushings. Stock bushings will tighten things up to the "like new" comfort and handling, but they won't last longer than original ones (that said, another 100k would be acceptable). Poly bushings supposedly have 10x longer life (ie. never change again). The known advantage/disadvantage is that they tighten things a little too "sporty", loosing more of drive comfort and increasing cabin noise. I've heard people praising and cursing them for the same reason. Some like the "sportier feel", others go back to the shop 10k later to remove them and put rubber ones back because they can't stand the harshness and the noise. I think I'll go with stock ones and have my indy replace only those that need replacing. If you go with poly you'll have to replace the whole set.
