1. All newer cars have ethanol compatible hoses, fuel tanks, seals, etc; many states mandate 10% ethanol for pollution control
2. The main thing needed for E-85 usage is a computer and injectors than can handle it, slightly more fuel volume needed to produce the same amount of energy.
3. Most cars don't alter timing and/or boost level to make use of the higher knock resistance of E-85, Saab can do that with the right ECU. that's why a chipped 9-5 can get greater horsepower without near as much loss of fuel milage as compared to E-85 compliant vehicles from most manufacturers
