You could try removing the SID display (disconnect it) from the car. Then, try starting the car and driving it. If the fuse doesn't blow after you've driven it for a day or two be suspicious that the SID display has a problem.
On the other hand, if the fuse blows with the SID out you are definitely dealing with a problem not in the SID. Use of the wiring diagram in the WIS and a DMM will be necessary to diagnose further.
