Sounds like either your hatch lock motor is dead, or the wiring is bad or disconnected. I would start by checking the motor connection (easy to do - pop out the plastic rivets that hold the inside panel on and have a look). If not that then check the wiring harness that goes from the car to the hatch - they can break from fatigue. If not that then I think you are looking at a new hatch lock motor.
