Actually, what you describe is repeatableity, which I would not describe as the final word in reliability.
Any normal distribution will be bell-shaped. Looking at all the variables on an automobile, and applying a bell-shaped curve, inevitably some vehicles will tend to stay on one side of the curve, some on the other. Every manufacturer will experience this. Some just have better bells than others.
I'm not trying to argue that SAAB's are the most reliable car, just that your analysis is faulty.
