Turbo failure in '02 Linear 69K

I'm on the road, so not much opportunity to do a full search. My CPO ran out in June. I got the car at 33K, and have done Mobile 1 oil changes every 5K; I have PCV #6 installed. After reading all the comments on Garrett vs. Mistubishi turbo, is it possible to put a Mitsubishi in the Linear? I'm putting in a used turbo now to get me home, but I'm looking for long term reliability.
