Since your car is starting to pack a few years, a possible (and easy) improvement could come from replacing all the vacuum lines. Just make sure you replace them one by one so that you remember where they're connected.
Re: the turbo replacement, you may want to have the Workshop Info manual (I bought mine on Ebay) or you can find some directions on the site as to how to replace it (also look http://photo.platonoff.com/Auto/ and you'll find good info, even though it's not always related to the 9-5).
If you replace the turbo (or not), you may want to make sure your oil line to the turbo is clean (or replace it, it's about $30); same for the banjo. By the way, when they clean the sludge (I assume the pan), diud they also clean under the valve cover ? If this one has not been cleaned, it couild spoil your #6 kit in not time.
