Phil is correct - use distilled water if possible. I don't know what others would say but I've flush the cooling system a few times on our Mercury Mountaineer using Simple Green. I flush out most of the anti-freeze and then add maybe a cup of Simple Green and drive the vehicle. Then after it cools down, flush it out. It's amazing all the crud that comes out. Anyway, use G-05 anti-freeze
