I have no idea why you would consider a wet road a hindrance to lighting said road.
One thing that I did notice right away is how the xenons reflect off of puddles in the road. The road through my addition was chip/seal, with the inherent puddles that rain creates with chip/seal roads. The addition is also heavily wooded, with many trees overhanging the road. The xenons have such a sharp cut-off, that the relection off of the puddles fully illuminated the trees, 40 feet in the air. It was very impressive.
They've since fully paved the road, eliminating my puddle amusement.
I do however, get more enjoyment from my motorcycle ride through the addition.
