Same thing. Look back there and you will see this valve with 2 heater hoses going in each side. Look below it and you will probably see crusty white stuff from the coolant getting on the exhaust system.
If you didn't put much in just change all the coolant when the valve is changed. That stuff is terrible in that it might clog the radiator or water passages in the block.
How many miles on the car?
Has the by-pass valve ever been replaced? there are guys that will just replace it at 55 of 60K just to do it before it goes. it is not IF, but WHEN.
