For the past 4 years I have used this board as a resource for information about the care and service of my Saab 9-5 Aero.
You have been more that generous with your time and expert advice.
Thanks.
Steve
PS. Last weekend I traded away the Saab for a different brand. While I felt it was an interesting car that looked good and rewarded the driver with spirited performance, I would never buy another one. Even though I didn't have any sludge issues or major repairs, over time lots of little things (like faulty trunk wiring, SID, IDM, throttle body, etc.) annoyed me. Earlier this summer, it had to be towed to the shop. By comparison, my wife's Honda, same vintage and mileage, had ZERO problems over the same period.
The new car market is soft right now, with lots of deals to be had. The Saab was going to need more work in the near future (motor mounts, plus a timing chain issue)...so, I figured I would get out of it while I was still ahead.
Will probably still check this board every once in a while, just because it has become a habit with me.
