My wife's '01 Aero SW measures 1.75 inches from the side of the tire wall to the outside of the rear wheel well. This measurment is taken at the 12 o'clock position, looking down vertically from above the wheel. Measurment may not be precise, but it was the same on both sides. Car was unladed and in the garage, temp about 70 degrees. We've not noticed any changes in camber or other alignement measurments in the 50K miles we've put on the car. No shims installed. Normal inside rear tire wear.
Good luck.
